Warranty

I bought a sectional from Galleria in Oklahoma City (don't even get me started on them) they talked me into the guardsmen protection plan and I thought great I have kids that will spill stuff and may cause damage to my furniture so I bought it. Well I started a claim in September to have the sagging cushions taken care of and the spilled stuff from my kids. They sent me some spray stuff that didn't work at all so I called back and complained and after weeks of sending paperwork finally got it approved to have my furniture cleaned by a "professional". Well this idiot came out 2 weeks later and used a CARPET CLEANER on my chenelle sectional and ruined my furniture! My husband didn't know and he was told that he had to stay 2 feet from the representative at all times and that he preferred to not be talked to. He also left our sectional SOAKED in cleaner and was damp for over a week. I had to submit a complaint form and pictures and was never called back. I've had to call them everytime. Well after a month of waiting they advised me that I can either keep the ruined couch and take $300 or take a store credit for the purchase priceminus delivery or taxes. So for me to have my $1000 + sectional replaced with no out of pocket on my end I have to take a lower priced piece of furniture. I want them to at least cover the taxes and delivery as well as the purchase price. Still fighting so we shall see. Don't buy their product they are horrible and if I ever treated my customers like that I would be fired.

Scam

have been scammed by guardsman! Jeromes furniture sold me on this 5 year full protection plan from guardsman which is a complete SCAM. I have a leather chaise which part of the seat cushion stitching has came apart on two sections. It's only 1 year and a couple months old. I just got a letter from guardsman denying my claim. Jeromes sold this as a full protection plan but Guardsman is saying it doesn't cover it under the terms of their agreement. Jeromes should be embarrassed and ashamed to be selling such a rip off scam to their loyal customers. Guardsman is just a Fake insurance company that uses confusing terminology that hoards of lawyers have come up with. Their main business plan is to use a bait and switch and run their customers around in circles before and deny 99% of claims. Finally all we can do as customers is complain to the BBB and the company you purchased the furniture from. It's sad to see businesses out there like Guardsman taking advantage of hard working Americans at such a tough time. I hope karma catches up too them soon and they become obsolete.

Warranty

I will NEVER buy this protection again. They claim my repair falls under "normal wear and tear." I'm forwarding this to LaZboy and letting them know wthat this protection stinks. There was a time when LaZBoy stood behind their products. My chair is just over 2, and literally "balding". Lazy boy wants $332 to repair the damage, and Guardsman says it's not covered. I haven't heard about a scam this bad since preserving your wedding dress. Comfy chairs, but not holding up. They will be my last LaZBoys after years of buying nothing but this product.

Scam

I bought a couch. The seams came loose over from time from usage. As well, some holes appeared in one arm. I called Guardsman for repair. It took over a month to go through the paperwork and review process. They denied saying it is manufacturer defect and not covered. I could tell from day one they were focused on denying any claim I made. Do not buy this overage. It is a complete rip off.

Scam

The furniture is less than 4 years old, the Guardsman protection is supposed to be good for five years. Do not, not, not be roped in to buying this coverage. They have no desire to repair anything. Only take your money and run. Send you through hell and high water to submit a claim, then deny, deny, deny you.

beware and avoid

I bought a scotchguard protection program for five years for the couches I bought. Soon I started to have problems with the furniture - the couches started to tear. I tried to make a claim and these guys gave me a run around. A week later they called me back and said they need some more information. Long story short they just denied my claim. Avoid these guys.

HUGE SCAM

Huge Scam - Will do anything possible not to cover your claim. I had opened a claim for a leather couch and 2 recliners that were purchased from LaZBoy a few years ago. When I had phoned in the claim, she stated she would email me a report to fill out. At that time I was home recouperating from a total knee replacement and did not realize until I had opened up the email that I had to look under the furniture pieces to gather information. Due to my condition, I was not able to do this at that time. A few days later I ended up back in the hospital for a week with an infection on my new knee. Upon my return, my dog passed away and within a week of that was informed my mother in law was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and needed to be placed in a nursing home and on hospice. She passed within a few weeks. Within a week of her funeral I had contacted the claims department because when I reopened up my email ,it stated had to be returned with 10 days. They told me it was OK to go ahead and complete the forms. It took me an hour to complete the 3 forms and send n the pictures of the 3 pieces of furniture to only recieve a form letter that it was denied because it was over their allotted time frame. I filed a Letter of Reconsideration with documentation of my surgery date, my hospitalization, the creemation certificate from my dog and the obituary from my mother in law which contained my name as survived by. They quickly denied that for the same reason. I contacted the customer service department, who instructed me to send a letter of grievance to the Executive Review Board. A few weeks have passed and I had not heard back.. I contacted the constomer service department who told me it was denied and that I did not need to be notied of their decision. Why not notify me???? I will never deal with this company again!!
