Bait and Switch/terrible installation
Yes, I agree that this company Empire Today has some serious problems. I started out calling them for information and a free estamate for my home and kept butting heads with some incompetent person, so I gave up. a few months later I called again hoping to get someone a little smarter who new what they were talking about, and again with no luck. I tried again a few months
again later when they had a great deal on TV (bate &switch for sure with your 60% off) Finally got ahold of someone who took my
information and scheduled me for a morning appointment with a salesman between 9-11am. Well, no one called or showed up!
So I said to myself, forget it!! Stupid Company!...then around 1:36 I get a call from someone stating that the salesman is able to
stop by! What? Well, I said ok. The salesman came to the door, he claims that he rang the door bell then left. Someone called me to tell me he had just left my house. They called him back and he returned...now we are looking at around 2:45-3:00pm. The salesman talks me into some carpet, I sign a check and he leaves at 6:30pm telling me that the carpet will arive at 9am in the morning but the carpet does not show, called the office who told me there was a window as to what time they get there and that was
anywhere from 9am to 6pm...right so I canceled at 9:10am...less then 24 hours later I am cancelling. Well they cashed my large ck
on 12-8 telling me that they had to have the check clear before they return my money!...it's now the 16th of December and I still don't have my money. I have reported them to the FTC, FBI...and anyone I can complain to. Their comment is that they have been
in business for 40something years...well I have been in business longer then that and I don't treat my customers that way! Take their money for weeks...and during Christmas! I think we need to put up a billboard telling everyone how cheap they are...They most be related to the banks!

good example of bad service
I ordered a carpet with stain resistance from Empire Today because of their guarantee next day installation. Well, actually it took more than two weeks to install the carpet. As soon as carpet was delivered I noticed that it was different from what I've ordered but they refuse me to give any samples in the moment of order. After one month I noticed that my carpet with stain resistance actually is not resistant to stains at all – couple of spots keep to reappearing. I called to the company and asked them to fix the problem and now it is more than two months since I've called first time and all what I get is just promises that someone will come in two days and fix the problem.
This company just fool their customers, think twice before use their service.

liars
I wanted to buy a stain resistant carpet and found this company. But they actually sold me another one for the price of stain resistant caret. The installation took two week and finally I got something absolutely different from what I paid for. The don't want to cooperate with their customers and they don't want to help or make a refund.
I just wasted my time and money wit them, don't do the same!

Cheap quality laminate, high prices
We have bought laminate because their salesman recommended it of high quality. The day they have placed it on our floor, one of the boards broke. And the next one was about to do the same. They have replaced the boards. However, they scratch very easily. Our small children play all over the floor with their toys, which also scratch the floors. We paid a lot of money for this poor quality laminate. Do not buy from them!

Sold me a carpet for a higher price
This company charged me $2000 for a carpet! I did not expect that it would be of a cheap quality! Later on I have found the same carpet for half a price at another store! Can’t believe I have been so foolish.

waste of money
Purchased a carpet from this company with the installation. The product I received was absolutely different from what I purchased and low quality. They refused me in an exchange and even a partial refund. Well ok, another problem was the installation - I made a purchase more than three month ago and the carpet still is not installed. What I paid for? This company is absolute scam, stay away!

Huge scam
Beware of this company! They advertise their products under fake prices, overcharge their customers and never provide good service! Purchased a carpet with an installation - for the first time they said me wrong price and then overcharged me and also installation was poor and I had to reinstall everything - they just made a huge mess. Buyer, beware and stay away!

avoid any deals with this company
Empire Today is the worst carpet company ever! I purchased carpet from them with installation and the guy who came to make an installation damaged my carpet and company refused me to cover that. They just ignored my complain and said that it is not their problem. Beware and better don't buy from them!

Blinds and carpet
I ordered a "high end" carpet, but after the install, I do not believe I got the product I selected and purchases.
I also ordered blinds for my bay window, but when someone came to "re-remeasure", I was told the blind color was no longer available. I hesitantly chose another shade. After these were installed, these were not the shade I choose, either.
I will not employ their services in the future.
