The quality of the material is very cheap
I have just had a nightmare with dressesonline. uk also. I checked and double checked i could order more than one wedding dress for my daughter to try and emailed to make sure i could order 5, take the best and return the others. They emailed me several times confirming that this was indeed fine. So i placed my order. 5 dresses as agreeed by them, 3 days after placing and paying for my order and getting confirmtion, they then emailed me and cancelled my order saying it wasnt possible to order more than one dress !! ...
I emailed them back explaining that i had asked this before hand, they ignored me for several days... then i emailed to ask whether my money was to be sent back they told me to be patient !! ... Every email was written in broken english, and with a poor understanding of email and the english language ... I WOULD NOT NOT NOT NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE !!! RUN A MILE !!
or for wedding dresses go to "good old BHS" !! ...

had same problem with this company i ordered a prom dress for my daughters school prom when i came it was terrible, very cheeply made looked nothing like the dress on the web sight so i wanted to return it they wont ansew emails so i went on chat and spoke to someone they want photos, iam still trying to get this sorted please please do not deal with these cowboys

I just received a dress that i ordered from this website and i must confess that i'm really disappointed. The dress came in on time but the quality of the workmanship is very poor. I've complained to the customer service and I’m requesting a refund. If your wedding day/anniversary means a lot to you, don't gamble; See what you want to buy before making the purchase. Cheap China product is what i've gotten! Stay away from this site!

I ordered a dress from dresses-online six weeks ago. it still has not arrived even though they promise delivery between 18 to 21 days. The dress is for my daughters prom . I wish that I had read these reviews beforehand. I have set up a dispute through paypal just to be on the safe-side. They do answer my emails pretty sharpish but just say things such as your dress will be sent in 5 days e, t, c then nothing until I email them again 8 days later. talk about fobbing you off.

I ordered a prom dress in February. Delivery was promised in around 25 days, but I heard nothing for weeks. When I chased them, they kept saying it would be dispatched in a few days and a tracking number provided, but tgis never happened. I suspect this was time-wasting tactics to try to take me beyond the Paypal dispute time limit, but I opened an dispute and got an immediate refund via Paypal.

I ordered a dress and it was well overdue and they kept on saying they would email me and tell me it has been dispatched and it never did arrive. This was the dress i wanted and after i read all of the above comments i knew what i got myself into so i have demanded a full refund. Lets just see how long that will take. This website is fraud and i strongly advise people NOT to buy anything from this website.

i 100% agree with all of these comments on the website, i ordered a dress over a month ago now for my school prom, and was really looking forward to getting my dress, after 28 days (at which the dress should have been delivered) we gave them a couple more days jst incase it had been delayed in the post. there was still no dress. i then went onto there website getting very worried thinking i had been robbed. it was true. i spoke to various people on their live chat, and there english was VERY POOR, it was very simple english. at first they said they couldnt find our order. we were furious, then after we gave them a reference number that paypal provided us with, they found the order, and told us that my dress hadnt get even been made!!! i demanded it within the next 7 days, and they said it would be done. 4 days later, i went back onto their live chat, and still, the dress was being "processed" after another 2 days, i asked what stage my dress was at, again, they said it was being "processed" this is when we had had enough and we did a charge back through visa and we got our money back. i would NOt NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT EVER recommend this site to anyone, they are a scam, then say they are based in the UK on their site, but its really in china. NOT a good site, keep well away!!!

Terrible
Ordered a dress from here for races in Aintree. Dress never arrived. Lucky I had a back up!I mailed them on numerous occasions however when I asked if my dress was dispatched they would never answer yes/no. Each reply was the same and as follows:
'Dear customer,
Thanks for your email.
Orders take 18 to 23 days to make the dress and 1 to 3 days for delivery and would you mind wait for a few days?

As with other reviews the operators on the live chat had very very poor and very limited English. They appeared to all say the same thing 'Do not worry' and would sign off as a different operator.
Today is day no 26 - and guess what?still no dress. Hardly a suprise given other customers appear to have had the same experiences. Today i choose to 'live chat' and the message i am receiving is as follows: 'All operators are currently assisting others. Thanks for your patience. An operator will be with you shortly' At present this message is repeated over a duration of approx' one hour.
Finally I emailed them however I have still recieved no reply although the site promises a reply within five minutes to all emails sent. Looks like I must now try get my money back.
I certainly would never ever recommend this site for purchasing dress as they certainly do not deliver on time.
All operators are currently assisting others. Thanks for your patience. An operator will be with you shortly

Worst Service Ever!
I have recently ordered two dresses that I need for my prom at the end of June. I ordered these at the end of march, giving them enough time to get the dresses made and delivered. I emailed them twice to make sure that they had received the payment and they didnt reply, even though on the website it says a 5 minute reply! I then decided to go on the "live chat" with them and they wasn't helpful in the slightest. It took me 30 minutes to get a response from then and to find out that I should receive my dresses at the beginning of May. I have been waiting 36 days for these dresses to arrive, so I decided to go back onto the live chat. I supposedly spoke to a different person who couldn't speak much english; kept spelling words wrong and wasn't making any sence with what she was saying. I asked when I would recieve the dresses and they wouldn't give me a straight answer. Half of the time they wouldn't reply and about 20 minutes later they would say "sorry for the late reply please hold on". They then said that the two dresses that I have ordered should be sent off in 2-3 days. However, 10 minutes later they changed their story saying both of the dresses had been sent back to the factory because they hadn't passed the quality control. I still couldn't get a straight answer from them as to when my dresses would arrive. During the live chat, I was saying this is unnacceptable and is really bad service and their reply was "I feel sorry" which again doesn't make any sense. I would NEVER reccommend this website to anyone. They are a waste of time and if you do get a dress from them, it won't be up to the standards as they demonstrate on the picture. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

WARNING. Do not use this company. I ordered on 24 February and am still waiting on 11 May. They fob you off with excuse after excuse and then when you request a refund they explain they need the money or the company will be bankrupt. Please do believe the pictures you see on their website as the finished produce does not resemble the dresses. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I have ordered a dress for my daughters prom and felt concerned that the dress hasn't arrived within the time frame. I tried their 'live chat' to begin with but there's never anyone there so I emailed but had to email again due to no reply. The email looked very 'amateur' and they said they would get in touch with the dress maker but after I emailed again they said thet would 'go to factory' to check my order then came back with 10-14 days but when I said if I don't receive it by the 1st June they and they said they would 'go to factory' and check again alarm bells started to ring. I have just read reviews on the company and wish I had done before ordering. I have decided to get in touch with Paypal to get my money back-I can't afford to risk waiting and then be sent poor quality because my daughters prom is in 4wks.

Bad service
I posted yesterday after reading these reviews feeling very concerned I wasn't going to receive my daughters prom dress.
The emails I received matched the patten of what was sent to other people when asking when the dress will arrive. I decided to take action straightaway and opened a case with Paypal as I knew asking them for a refund would be a waste of time. Thank god I did-I got my refund within hours. I'm so relieved I can now look for a replacement dress. If you don't receive your order after the time stated on their website I would urge you to ask for a refund immediately, don't give them any longer as they will just fob you off and say 'I go check in factory' Chance are the quality will be rubbish anyway and there's no way they will refund easily once you have received it.

Delivery an return
Having been caught out 2 years ago with these Chinese Companies after ordering a prom dress that was appalling; I scoured the website of 'edressesglobal' and there was absolutely no trace of anything Chinese, they even had a UK address, so I felt safe in ordering a bridesmaid dress.
The dress took 5 weeks to arrive and my heart sank when I saw the enclosed shipping slip written in Chinese!
The dress is not well made and was smaller that the requested size so then began many tedious emails to and fro to try and get the matter rectified. Forget the 'chat' facility as they take forever and just don't seem to understand English enough to give an appropriate answer.
They tried to get me to keep the dress and offered a small refund £20 for a garment I paid £92 for. Eventually I got a return address in Portsmouth. I paid £7.10 for special delivery on Monday (14th May) and the parcel was returned to me today 'address unknown' !!!
I emailed them again straight away about this and they just relied with the same address and a request to go to a web site to fill out a return form - I have yet locate this form.
I am now going to contact my local trading standards officer, Paypal, money box live on Radio 4 and investigative TV programmes.
These people should not be allowed to trade in this country if they cannot be contacted and won't allow you to return goods or refund your money. Someone must have the power to stop them. One way would be for people to stop buying their rubbish goods which are falsely advertised.
DONT GO NEAR THEM AND TELL YOU FRIENDS TOO!

very cheap material
lost £500 due to this company as i had to pay £60 addition to return the items. after waiting for weeks i couldnt contact them through phone, and on live chat they just kept saying it was stuck in custums and then making up excuses. the worst company ever, and paypal dont back you either as they fobbed me off too. a trusted company like paypal, i stuck to there guide lines and did every thing they asked but to no avail. bothe companys im am very dissapointed. full of lies

arrived to late
i ordered 4 dresses in april for my birthday in june so thought i left myself plenty of time, WRONG, they arrived 2 days after my party even tho' i spoke with them numerous times by 'live chat' to find out where they were and all i got was they were delivered one date then another date, so now i have to pay £15 shipping charges to rec' something i didnt even wear plus postage to send back, if i'd known they were coming from china i would never have ordered the damn dresses.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, PLEASE!!
