I, Sunil K. Zachariah, also became a member of Country Vacations, Abu Dhabi on 17th February, 2012 after their successful presentation. I swiped my First Gulf Bank Credit Card for AED 22, 000/- for their 25 years membership. The very next day i.e on 18th I sent a mail and SMS to them to cancel my membership. Also I tried to cancel my credit card process, but First Gulf Bank did not do my request and Country Vacations claimed the amount after 3 days. According to FGB, only the merchant can cancel or not claim the amount. The representatives who did the presentation about their club activities were Mr. Pravin & Mr. Abdul Samad in their Abu Dhabi office in Ajman Bank Bldg., 11th Floor. After my repeated mails SMS, I got a response from Mr. Pradeep Kumar - Customer Relationship Officer, that my membership cancellation request has been approved and the money I spent will be refunded within 45 - 60 Days. I strongly informed them that I will not wait to get my money back after 60 days. As per their cool-Off time, we are entitled to cancel the membership within 7 days. Moreover, the guy who came to my home to swipe the card has not given me a copy of my membership application till date. In response to your email, kindly take a note of following:

If you feel using words “I got cheated by them” were wrongly used, I am ready to take them back but I just have expressed my feelings in response to what was committed by your sales team and what came on paper after making full payment of membership value of AED 20,000 as agreed. The team was not responding our calls and email messages in time or responded only after many reminders.

After your post of 29th July, 2016 to take off all comments, I have tried to remove my post from ReviewsTalk.com but they haven’t given any such option to edit or remove existing post. I have sent emails yesterday and today to their admin regarding removal of the post by them or giving me access to do so but so far there is no response from them so I am not able to remove the post myself. If you are aware of any way to do so, please let me know and I will be glad to try that.

Regarding, unconditional apology, am ready to do so provided you refund full amount I have paid and give me assurance of ending this mater here permanently. In fact I will be happy to post positive review if I get good support from you to solve this matter amicably.

With this review of mine I would like to inform you about a company (Country Club Vacations) in UAE that fools people with fake offers and harasses them at a later stage.

First I would like to thank the DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, DUBAI for their help to get my money back.

On 21st of July 2016, I got a call from Country club (Miss. Sheela) saying that I have been nominated for 6 nights & 7days free stay at country clubs anywhere in India and I have won a Lulu gift voucher. For collecting these free vouchers I was asked to arrive at Country Club Hotel, Dubai, U.A.E. along with my family.

So I went there with my family on the same day to enquire about the same and to collect the voucher. After reaching there Mss. Merin (0527387936) staff of Country Club attended us & explained about Country Club Global Ownership. Mr. Syed Majid Hussain (Line Manager, 0568696900) assisted her to brief me.

The Country Club Global Ownership (CCGO) offers the following benefits.
1. one will be eligible to get 25 weeks of vacation anywhere in the world, anytime, within the 25 years.

2. Each holiday can accommodate maximum 8 adults.

3. If the person is using other than the country club owned property, there is a transfer fee per vacation, which inside India, is 90$ & outside India 160$ to 250$ depending on the hotel.

4. Ownership can be canceled l(Transfer) any time and the money refunded if we are not happy with the service or because any financial problem. (Refund will be vacation usage charge(1400Dhs per 1 week) minus total amount paid)

5. There is a fitness club membership as a complimentary service which can be used for swimming, indoor games, gym and other activities for free of cost. (I told them clearly I'm not interested in it and I'm never going to use it.)

6 At Kids' weekly club, which is an every weekend event, there will be Music, Dance, Drawing, Painting, Aerobics and etc.. classes and they will arrange summer camps as well for children. Currently it is happening in Madina mall qusaiss, and within 3 months time it will start in Al Barsha as well.

7. Women weekly club, there will be Fashion, Cooking & etc. classes.

8. Both club transportation is provided by country club anywhere in Dubai with the additional cost of 30Dhs per month.

9. We can use country club party hall for any special occasion related to any our family members, anywhere in India & UAE county club owned properties.

10. They arrange birthday celebrations of the member or his/her children and the marriage anniversary party free of cost.

11.He told us that the decision has to be made then and there since this offer was valid only for that day & it was given in connection with the completion of 25years of country club.

12.There will be annual maintain charges of maximum 1200AED- which is applicable for all the club activities, it will be variable, depending on usage.

And many more benefits were explained to us. Then Mr. Majid explained about Ownership Charges.
Mr. Majid offered 25yrs of vacation in .31, 500/AED- & after offering discount of AED.3500/-.
He also offered:
1) LED TV of 40 inches(Samsung) or you have a choice to select 800 Aed worth gold voucher.
2) 5 extra year for 2 nights and 3 days(each year) local holidays.
3) Complimentary Saturday brunch with your family.
4) Discount book let
5) 4 nights and 5 days extra holiday to Malaysia.

He told me about an EMI option in which I can pay 970Dhs per month for 36 month. They have some agreement with some bank here and I will get a free card from one of the banks here in Dubai, which is a special card exclusively for the Country club and I cannot use it for any other purpose. Presently, they will block 5000Dhs from my card and as soon as my ownership gets approved I will start my 970dhs EMI and 5000Dhs will be released.

I , again, clearly asked them about this and they told me that all these will happen in 7 days of time and everything will be arranged by them and I don’t need to bother about anything. Based on these discussion I gave them my credit card and they blocked 5000Dhs. And they asked me to sigh some papers telling it was the club membership. I asked them why I should sign this ? The answer was that it was the complimentary membership. The Ownership card & document will be returned in 12 days.

After 2.5 hours of discussion they gave me a voucher of 6 nights & 7days free stay from country club anywhere in India & the 50Dhs. Lulu voucher.

When I reached back home and I checked about country club on internet and I found a lot of bad reviews.
Next day(23rd of July) we got an invite for a lunch. After the lunch I went to Mr. Majid to make sure all that they had promised were correct. The bad reviews on the internet prompted me to do this. He promised me again that whatever they told me is correct information. I asked Mr Majid & Miss. Merin to send me a mail of what they had told me in our discussion and they told me they will do it as soon as possible.

2days later I realized I'm not getting the card because of a DBR issue. I called Mr. Majid and told him about this.
He asked me for 1 day's time for a solution. There was no response for next 1 week. They didn’t send the mail that they had promised.

On 2nd of August I contacted with their Karama office and they ask me to sand an email to Mr. Afzal (Manager Owner Relationship Dept). I sent a mail to Mr. Afzal ([email protected]) & Mr. Majid ([email protected]) explaining the situation.

On 4th of August I received a call from Mr. Afzal, He talked to me very rudely. He told me that I needed to pay full amount to get the Ownership card, He said It was not possible to cancel the Ownership. I asked him about some of the features that Mr. Majid & Miss. Merin had told me and he said it was not possible. He spoiled the rest of my day & I couldn’t sleep at that night.

On 5th of August I recieved a mail from Mr.Majid, there was a receipt of 5000Dhs. as an advance payment & complimentary club membership application form which I signed. I wrote him asking for an explanation.

On 6th of August I contacted Mr. Majid and he said they cannot release my money back & he cannot sand a mail as well because whatever they had said was false information and they were fooling us. There is no such a Country Club Global Ownership. I joined the Country club Fitness membership which we never discussed. I searched on the internet about them & I find out a lot of same cases. from one of the victim I heard about DED.

On 7th of August I made a call to DED and to raise a complaint against them. Next day I got a call from Mr. Santhosh Mathew (General Manager), he asked me to send the complaint to him and he would check the matter with their team.

On 9th of August I got a call from DED and they told me that i will get my money back within 15 Days. Country club gave me the cheque with the collection date on 25th of August

On 25th of August when i reached there Karama Office first they said they would put the cheque date as Dec 3rd and I didn't agree with them then they changed the date to 25th of Sep.

Finally I got my money Back yesterday.

Dubai booking fraud by Country Club

I, Monica Matani, am a member of Country Vacations [hereinafter referred to as ‘CV’], holding membership no CVGK37V5LB191729. Country Vacations [ CV ] is a division of Country Club India Pvt Ltd [hereinafter referred to as ‘CCIL’ ] which owns the property Country Club hotel at Dubai.



Since I had plans of travelling to Dubai In October’16, I had made inquiries about booking 7 nights of Country Club Dubai from 29/10/16 to 05/11/16, on the official Customer care ID of r of ‘CV’. I was informed about the tariff and other details and as terms were agreeable, I asked them to book the room for me on 26/07/16. The same day I was informed by email dated 26/07/16, again that my room booking was confirmed and the email specified that the room will be kept on hold for 24 hours for payment.



I paid the entire amount (except the tourism tax of dirhams 15 per night to be paid at the hotel on checkin), on 27/07/16 i.e within the 24 hours limit given to me. This was 3 months before the dates of checkin. The amount paid by me was Rs 49,707 (balance AED 105 tourism tax was to be paid at Dubai). I was issued an acknowledgement for the payment immediately with the stamp of the company. I was told that the final Voucher will be issued to me in 3-4 days.



I followed up with Ghatkopar Customer care of ‘CV’ many times, as well as have kept central reservation department of ‘CV’ updated each time, about issuance of the vouchers. I was wrongly assured time and again that my booking is confirmed and I need not worry and Voucher will follow soon.



On 28/09/16 after 2 months of confirmation of booking and payment of 100% of Rupee component (only AED 105 was to be paid at Dubai), Mr. Sagar of Ghatkopar customer care informed me that my booking was not there and he gave the reason that room nights are not available. I was shocked and disappointed to hear that just a few days before my trip, I am left without a hotel booking. CCIL canceled my DUBAI hotel booking after 2 months of receiving money from me and confirming the booking, saying that rooms are not available.
On 29/09/16 I approached the local police station and the Police station called CCIL executive. After stern warning by local police to issue the voucher, Mr. Sagar of CCIL promised to issue the voucher or else CCIL would return the money. CCIL later transferred the full amount to my account on the same day.





This is nothing but Deficiency of services, fraud, cheating, criminal breach of trust on the side of ‘CV’ / ‘CCIL’ and its executives.
I am being informed after 2 months of my payment that I am without a hotel booking, though my payment was made after an email that my booking has been confirmed and will be kept on hold for 24 hours for payment. I made the payment in cash so that I could abide by the 24 hours limit for payment. I was issued a receipt/ acknowledgement with the seal of Country Vacations.



Now I am not getting hotels of my choice in Dubai, within my budget and those which are available for my dates are of level lower than I would have chosen in the first place and moreover I will have to pay INR 28000 – 30000/- more for the same rooms that were available for much less 2 months back. This has spoiled my vacation plans and budget completely apart from the mental harassment I am going through.

It looks like the employees book rooms on members I'd at membership discount and later sell it at a higher tariff to non members. I wonder if the company itself is also a part of it as they took no action against this despite my complaints.


I was believing that Dubai is a safe tourist destination for families, with almost zero chances of being cheated by local hotels/resorts or anyone in tourism sector because of the stern laws of Dubai. But my experience at booking the Dubai resort itself was a nightmare, that now I am dreading my trip.



Now I request you to take stern action against Country Club Dubai and CCIL for its breach of trust and cheating and compensate me suitably.

Dear Friend,

We expect clarity, transparency, respect, and maturity on the commitments from the staff of Country club. Country club fails everything.

I really feel unfortunate being a Country club member. Its big accident to me i paid 12000 AED till now.

I requested my cancellation with team soon i took the membership. I followed several time with the customer care team for refund of my money and after long time i have got the confirmation from customer care team manager Mr. Safullah bajwaa in writing.

I followed for my money to be given back via check and country club team has confirmed they are workings on cancellation process and they will issue check in month of Jan 2015. and ask for my patience.

all promised and communication is in written and available in black and white.

When i go to their office in Karama they ask do you have any written proof ? When i showed previous communication and confirmation lady manager Ms. Afsha go angry on me and said your money will not be refunded and we have sacked Mr. Saifulla.

When I stared to cornered them on the commitment made to me over email, there legal adviser Mr. Santosh intervene and promised me that he will get this case to management team and get back to me in 2 days.

Well i never get call and not any reply over email. its just time pass and playing with people money and emotion.

I have tolerated enough by the country club, now I will go for the formal complaint with Dubai Department of consumer rights.
