Traffic problem at Chetpet Bridge area

Dear Sir,
The Chetpet Bridge or so called Gurusamy Bridge has been made one way since some time. I wonder why this bridge should be made one way when no CMRL works are going on here. Can you please imagine the hardship of many common citizens who have to go to Mehta Hospital or to Gemini circle? Is there anyway for them to go to these places?
Already Chennai autowalas are famous for demanding more than meter rates for which no remedy has been found so far. A person who wants to go to Gemini by bus cannot get even to see the bus 29C in the vicinity of the Chetpet. He has to go to Purasawalkam to get into 29C to go to Gemini or Luz or to Mandaveli . Even the bus conductor charges more for the trip from Central to CMBT on the pretext that their route distance has gone up.
Apart from this, a person who comes to KMC is choosing to come there bec of his financial constraints and no MLAs come there to attend to their health problems; they would prefer to go to private hospital;
These poor persons may be with disability to walk; such persons are put to walk from KMC upto Taylors Road bus stop to board a bus to Aminjikarai, CMBT etc; At the crossing area from KMC to reach the other end to go to Taylors Road, all the vehicles having been given a free one way on the Chetpet Bridge come in a breakneck speed and there is not a single traffic constable to control these vehicles to allow pedestrians to cross; and also at the scissors type of road changing opposite to KMC, vehicles coming from Chetpet Bridge wants to go to left and the vehicles who want to go to right side of this road to go to Egmore etc are intersecting at this section at great speed; the poor two wheeler is the victim at this scissors type cross over place; here also there is not a single traffic constable to control the vehicles; nor a traffic signal though Buses & autos do not bother about the signal lights, anywhere in Chennai. They think the road is theirs first and if anything is left out, that only is for others.
Have you ever thought that a private car owner or a two wheeler will like to abandon their vehicles like a bus driver when an accident happens?
When you allow both the two roads for traffic opposite to KMC, why not one be made to go the opposite way instead of allowing all in the same direction towards East?
I will answer to your question if all the traffic is allowed to use a single road, traffic jam will be caused; my answer to this is when you allow traffic to go over the Chetpet Bridge, half the traffic will be away from this road opposite to KMC, and where will be the traffic jam, bread, butter and all?
