Chief Aircraft Fraudulent Business Practices
Chief Aircraft charges credit cards on online purchases for product it claims to have but does not have. It makes no effort to contact the customer to inform them of an alleged back order status. What's worse, the company maintains numerous identities on different internet forums that advertise its products. If a customer attempts to post to any of these forums (most owned/run by a creepy individual named James Burke) about hi/hers situation to find out more about Chief Aircraft or warn other forum members, he/she gets attacked personally by Chief Aircraft's numerous online aliases. This is done with the blessing of the website's owner - James Burke who apparently is only interested in advertising revenue from Chief Aircraft - not maintaining a legitimate, friendly online presence.
It's a nice incestuous relationship among small time business operators.
Chief Aircraft is not a reliable, trustworthy company to do business with. They have a poor online reputation and an obvious track record of abusing customers stretching back many years.

Avoid..
I placed an order with Chief Aircraft, the part was advertised to be an exact replacement for the part on my aircraft. In short it was not, and would require a 337 to install, not to mention more $ in labor than the part cost. I asked to return it and be reimbursed for shipping costs...
The "owner" was rude and crude at best and told that they "might" refund my purchase price if it was delivered in "great shape".
I would avoid doing business with such a rude and crude business owner. By the way, this is the second time I got the wrong part from Chief Aircraft, but at least the last time I was not hassled as much, because they admitted their mistake. But as I recall, that time I also ate the shipping costs.
