Customer Service at Store

I have bought about five guns from Buds and have never gotten a bad deal. The customer service was exellent and I payed by credit card. I plan on buying another gun next week and 1911 45 ACP goverment model. I bought a Taurus TCP 380 and had a problem with it, I call Taurus Fed X picked it up the same day and I recieved it back in one week no charge to me. Thank You Bill Lewis elewis@foothills.net

Actually, Buds contacted me and apologized for the delayed shipment due to the holidays. I received my Mossberg SPX and it was new and I am very happy.

possible fraud?

I could have built a gun faster then these people at buds ship theres out, I just hope when I get my new gun its in New condition, Ive ordered guns on the net several times and always had my gun in hand within a week not 3 1/2 weeks, this is ridiculious!!! This is my first and last order from them based on the service, price was good, but who cares about another 20 bucks somewhere else, when atleast you get what u paid for. Im just hoping theres no issues, this could be a year long project. as of today still have not received and dont expect to within next week unless santa claus is gonna deliver personally.

All the firearms i bought from Buds were in new boxes and NEW.now, i"ve talked to some factorys that go quality checks by pulling certain one a fire them many times, but are cleaned up and sent on, maybe this one slipped thru.

My first purchase with Bud's, and my first firearm for that matter, was a Mossberg 500 Cruiser 8 round shotgun.

A few days proceeding my order, while the gun was preparing to ship, I decided that I wanted the 6 round version instead, like an asshole at the last minute. I called Bud's (I live in Texas) and spoke to someone within 4 seconds of dialing the number. The guy assured me that it was no problem at all and that the order had been changed with no hassle or fee. I was VERY impressed with their customer service as I was on the phone for what couldn't have been more than 5 minutes. I also accidentally hung up on the guy without thanking him and felt like a douche.

A few days after, sure enough, I received precisely what I payed for; no visible dings, scratches or worn parts - not even a fingerprint. Since then, I've put close to 8 or 900 different rounds through the gun and it has yet to jam or fail - everything still works smoothly without hesitation.

My first experience and purchase with them will surely be one of many. Perhaps you got a "bad apple"; it happens, (After all, it IS Taurus...) But to blatantly belittle the guy's business based off of your own ONE experience is just unreasonable and unfair.

I feel that if the gun was not to the buyer's high level or what have you, he should have let the FFL guy send it back for a refund or replacement and all this crap woud not be happening. That's all this is is a bunch of crap! If you don't won't to do business with Bud again the don't!!!

I have recently bought a gun from buds and it have taken over 2 weeks to receive. I was not very happy about this and now that I have done some research online and seen hundreds of unhappy customers who write bad reviews and their company I will not do business with them again. The top 2 complaints were 1. Customer service 2. Length of shipping. With what was said above and how unprofessionally he handled this I know there is a HUGE customer service problem overe there! I will not be using them in the future!

I have bought many guns from Bud's...not one problem, customer service is top notch. Who ever this troll is and why they are trying to give Bud's a bad name is stupid.

I just completed a transaction with Bud's, and it went perfectly. It took three weeks total, but the gun went to NY and was tied up for a week in CoBis. I'm not complaining... Quite the contrary. I got a gun that is short supply for a great price. Bud's could have charged a premium for this gun and sold it the same day. Actually, I was lucky enough to nab it.
I think the original poster here made a few mistakes.. possibly due to inexperience. First, if he didn't like the weapon, he should NOT have completed the transfer. Laws on handguns are very rigid, and once transfer is complete, it's difficult, if not impossible for Bud's to intervene on the customer's behalf. Next, guns come dirty.. Some more, some less, but all a bit dirty. They're test fired, so this should be expected. I always tear down a new gun for cleaning, no questions asked. Also, the OP bought a Taurus.. known to be dirty. Nothing wrong with them functionally, but there are higher quality pieces out there.
Bud's shouldn't have gotten into mudslinging with the customer, but when a person makes unfounded accusations online without facts to back them up, I guess it's tough to hold back.

So, this whole fiasco is the customer's fault, by his own account. I had a good experience with Bud's, and would buy from then again.

Well I have been looking into ordering from Buds. However after reading this tiraid between a customer and buds customer service, I believe I will take my business and my money elsewhere. I googled looking to see reviews of customers in order to check out Service and what condition firearms arrived in. I wanted an opinion that was not on the website. I am glad I did. The way this customer service rep. Talked to this customer is unacceptable. The lack of respect, the threats. It is appalling to me to even think this is how a company would chose to conduct its business with an unhappy customer. No apologies from the company to the customer only attacks. I will not be doing business with buds.
