Dog murder
I do not believe your dog was murdered. Just like a human, a doctor will not magically diagnose heart disease on a whim. Unless YOU, the owner, gave the doctor a reason to check symptoms, like telling him your dog was sick, he would not know. Vets are not mind readers. Also, having your pet go into cardiac arrest from anesthesia is as likely as a human doing it: more common than you think. Not everyone can handle anesthesia, and not everyone will have the same experience. I am sorry for your loss, but it seems as if fate had a hand in your dog more than any negligence.

They do not have a bad name. The people who claim there is no God always expect medical personnel to be godlike.

I am sorry for your loss. I hope you find some answers but I know it can't replace your family member.

Dog murder
Many times we have pets (esp. true in older pets) who may have un-disagnosed underlying issues. Placing even a supposedly healthy adult human under anesthetic is very serious which is why your anesthesiologist sends you a separate bill when you have surgery. Perhaps they should have given you a better explanation as to what happened, but a lawsuit might not be in your best interest. Cool off and think it through, or possibly mediate before going to court.
