Poor quality product!


Who has been able to get a refund from Baer's?? Baer's fighting American Express on a conditional sale - condition is size - furniture looks smaller in large salesrooms and the apt is an efficiency. So no sale, no delivery but Baer's wants the keep the entire sum. Who has been able to get a refund from Baer;s in any situation?

How does Baer's maintain the reputation of selling fine furniture? Stools made in China, you should have gone to Bloomingdale's Furniture department. Time to expose them, so everyone who has been injured by the chain... start spreading the word to keep victims away from this pit of lies and deceiving practices. Let yourself be heard!!! Express your outrage loud and louder!! We, the public need to know this. Thank you.

Poor quality product!


Excellent service when the designer was involved, but after that amazingly terrible service. I purchased $40, 000 worth of furniture from Baers over a three month period. The first portion of the order came in with little problem.
However, the final bedroom set was an absolute disaster. The company called to arrange delivery, so we donated our old bedroom set to charity that morning. When the truck came, they had only the bed frame and tables: no mattress or boxspring! We asked what happened, and we were told it was "backordered" and "someone should have let you know". Meanwhile, we had houseguests, had donated the original bedroom set, and had no place to put the guests. The manager was "at lunch". When he finally called back, he said the mattress wasn't back ordered, they just didn't put it on the truck. The truck comes from Miami. We could have the mattress in a couple of days.
When my husband said that wasn't an acceptable solution, the manager hung up on him. After $40, 000, at the first complaint, the manager simply hangs up on us?! DON'T USE THIS STORE unless you have a large order and a good designer running interference. Their customer service is horrific.

terrible experience


after being told that if I wanted to exchange a dresser I would have to come into the wharehouse (1Hr away) and pick one out since their was nothing wrong with the original piece" sure I just made that up because I was bored and wanted to talk to
and be treated by RUDE people.. I told him that I had 4 kids and was unable to go he said "if you are too busy then we are too busy to bring you a replacement." It goes and and on even one of the owners didnot want to help me.. Oh well just buy from city furniture they have nice things and they have cheaper items too but they love their customers not just their wallets.
