Look for another company

Do not use AUSWIDE VAN LINES as your removalist if you are looking for a company who will adhere to an agreed pick up date, act professionally or provide any level of customer service. This company did not pickup my furniture on the agreed pick up date (agreed to in writing before deposit paid).

They provided less than 24hrs notice that could not pick up, along with a story about a truck breaking down. This company has SEVERAL trucks and another source in the industry tells me this is a common excuse by these type of companies who no longer want to undertake the job due to not filling their truck. I had already vacated the home and arranged someone to be at my property for the items to be collected. I moved 4 people into a house with no belongings, waiting for Auswide to pickup and deliver. Auswide then ignored my email when I asked if they could guarantee they would pick up on their new proposed date, which was 5 days later and the day before a new tenant was moving into the property I vacated.

Since January Auswide have ignored all email requests to return my deposit for the job they could not fulfil. Tomorrow it will be March!!!! They have lied every time I have phoned and said that the book keeper is not in, or hasn't paid yet as she is busy, or that management will call me back. They have NOT CALLED ME BACK ONCE. This job was booked close to 2 months ago. To make matters worse an Auswide staff member has abused someone over the phone who called on my behalf. I have reported my experience to Fair Trading so I can recover my deposit. There are so many very similar reviews online about this company. Stay away and please share this review with anyone who you know is moving!!!
