Cancellation Fees
Your first course of action should be to read your contract, then get a free consultation with an attorney to discuss viable options.

Cancellation Fees
Chuckles is correct. You may have recourse. But if you renewed the contract, you may either have to pay the fee, keep the service, or lastly, if you default- they may send it to collections & report it to credit bureaus.
Food for thought: if you were delinquent in paying and are now canceling, ADT may not be sympathetic to your proclamation that you won't do business again with them because essentially you aren't a customer anymore. If you are being held to the contract, 'honey instead of vinegar' may be the tactic to take with them, if you want them to work with you. Good luck.
