Dishonest, deceptive business practices

i agree 1800toolrepair.com is a bad website. i ordered a part on jan 8, as of Feb 9 they still have not shipped it. however they charged my card jan 8. I emailed them many times with no reply. I phoned them and i got a girl on the phone who said she didnt know when they would ship it. she said they didnt have my part in stock and could not tell me when they would.

very dishonest. i think it is a scam or they are just incompetent.

It frustrates us when we can't get the parts our customers need as quickly as they would like to have them. Unfortunately, as you are aware from our email conversation throughout the order process, as this is a back order issue related to the manufacturer and their production, our hands are tied. I have used this company several times. I found them to be professional. My parts arrived in a timely fashion. Perhaps some of you prefer to complain about everything under the sun and have too much time on your hands.

Just received parts for my Hitachi mitre saw. Placed the order on Friday - had parts in my hands the following Tuesday - and at almost 1/2 the cost of the local repair facility. CERTAINLY NO COMPLAINTS FROM ME!

Did not receive parts ordered and paid for

I ordered parts on Oct 5th 2013 and paid for the parts on my charge card.
It has been two months and after numerous calls in which I received recordings, I still have not received the parts or a reply.

I agree with the first poster DEREK. This company takes forever to ship out orders. Their staff they have on the phones are basically useless. If a part is back ordered for a month then they shouldn't even accept the order. If a contractor needs a part for his tool to do a job he or she cant afford to wait that long and 1800 tool repair should tell you that right from the beginning. A part from dewalt shouldn't be that difficult to get. Yes their prices are a little cheaper but id imagine its because their employees must walk over the border to get the parts and walk them back !

I would highly suggest using other companies to get your parts unless you can afford to wait a month for them.!

I was just curious, to hear from the persons on here that have posted complaints on what the out come of the complaints where, did you eventually get the parts? did they refund your money? are you still waiting? i have had my order in as well for like 4wks, and now thier website is down, not sure what i should do next?

Ordered a part. Website was not functioning properly (and a month later and I am still not able to access my order on-line). Tried to contact company to find out the status of my part and, after leaving a voicemail and email, they followed up the next day and said that it should be sent to me the following week. Over a week passes and i hear nothing. Sent email, no response. A few days later left voicemail and recived no response. A few days later sent another email. A few days after that I receive an email from them that says they are unable to get the part and that they received "several" of my voicemails and I had not left a number (left one voicemail with a phone number). It took them a month for me to get any status at all from them and when I did it was simply a 'sorry we can't get your part'. I shop a lot on-line in all aspects and this was by far the most unprofessional company that I have dealt with since i started. I understand that they could not get the part, that happens. But taking over a week to respond to inquiries is unacceptable.

Great service

I placed an online order on 6/4/2014 & the package with my parts was delivered on 6/6/2014 . Price was competitive, shipping reasonable, lower than most other sites quoted for same order.

Those who have posted complaints due to parts backordered by mfg., consider that 180toolrepair does not warehouse every part they sell, or claim to. Sometimes a mfg. shows part avail & inventory is wrong due to employee theft, or any reason, or perhaps it sells out as you place your order with 1800toolrepair, and as request is forwarded, part shows backorder status. Don't shoot the messenger , who is depending on the part being available as well, since a smooth transaction for a part is certainly preferred over spending time & emails going back & forth with an unhappy customer & or refunding the money, which is no help to seller or buyer.

If timely receipt is important , I suggest picking up a phone, & asking the seller to verify stock with mfg before ordering & risking a backordered part.

1800toolrepair.com has far exceeded my expectations, as I expeted to wait up to 2 week for the item I ordered, yet had it in hand in two days.

Return Policy - wrong product

Having been trying for 2 weeks to return item, wrong product. Stated on the phone will back. NEVER. My Credit Card has already been charged.
